The top-level RC category, 1/8th scale gas class, has continued to excite drivers and even spectators on every continent. For many years the CanAm Lola has been the body style of choice by world-class racers and those wanting to just go fast.
The on-track success of the PROTOform Lola T530 has been nothing short of amazing. It's been used by world-class racers to dominate the largest most competitive 1/8th scale gas races in the world. Used to win the ROAR Nationals and the Euros just to name a few, it was also recently the body of choice at the 2005 IFMAR On-Road Gas World's in Messina Sicily. More racers using this body design than the combined total of all the other 9 body companies represented. Adrien Bertin used the Lola T530 to TQ, and at the end of the grueling event Lamberto Collari collected his 7th World's title with his Lola T530 clad Kyosho racer.
The good news is that PROTOform is now making it available in a lightweight version - something that serious racers have been asking for. If you're looking for that small edge with your 1/8th on-road racer, this is the body that provides it. |
